09/19/2013 Trip Notes: This was my fourth visit to this area; the second this year. While hiking uphill along a rocky wash I was able to capture several pictures of the colorful flora that were still in full bloom. In addition to literally hundreds of budding Beavertail Cactus (Figs. 01 & 02) and dozens of Angel’s Trumpets, triptych in (Fig. 03), there were several other quite beautiful varieties (Figs. 04-07).

On the hike back down the wash I spotted a butterfly and was lucky enough to capture a couple couple of shots before he flew away (Fig. 08). After leaving this area we made a quick turn-a-round in Nipton before heading back to Searchlight. Check out the town of Nipton here ... Nipton, California.
